Sweet iron bridle bit, Baby weymouthfixed, medium - Trust Equestrian

Sweet Iron bits are made of iron and feature their famous blue color, achieved through heating during production. Upon contact with (humid) air, Sweet Iron develops a sweet-tasting, rusty surface that naturally stimulates saliva production. This promotes lathering, thus improving the horse's acceptance of the bit. This rusting (oxidation) process transforms the blue color of TRUST bits into silver or gray-brown, a desirable effect for Sweet Iron bits. If a Sweet Iron bit is not used for a period of time, a layer of brownish-orange rust may appear on the mouthpiece. This can be easily removed by wiping the mouthpiece with a damp cloth. This layer of brownish-orange rust is harmless. Sweet Iron bits are suitable for all horses and promote lathering, thus improving the horse's acceptance of the bit. The medium orifice is a straight mouthpiece with a medium orifice. This orifice offers more space for the tongue and reduces pressure on the middle of the horse's tongue.

The Baby unfixed curb bit is used with a curb bit, creating a double snaffle. The Baby curb bit has a cheekpiece with less leverage and is therefore considered gentler. It can move up and down, allowing the rider's aids to pass more indirectly. For use with a double snaffle, an additional double snaffle or cheekpiece is required. This bit comes with a curb chain to prevent excessive rotation. The curb chain must be properly adjusted.
