Information
Glucosamine is a molecule naturally present in the body and especially in the cartilage. It is synthesized in the body from glucose, fructose and glutamine, an amino acid.
Glucosamine slows the deterioration of cartilage in all joints and promotes the lubricating action of synovial fluid, a natural joint lubricant that helps them function. This molecule also reduces the destruction of certain cartilage molecules and improves the vascularization of the bone, which provides better flexibility under the cartilage. When the glucosamine manufacturing process goes wrong, the cartilage deteriorates and inflammatory phenomena such as arthritis and osteoarthritis can develop. The rate of glucosamine decreases with age, it is therefore advisable to have an additional contribution in order to guarantee flexibility and elasticity.
