Better Bones, proper bone development, 3.5kg - Equine America
Description
Targeted nutrition for young performance horses, broodmares and young herds, containing a carefully studied combination of major minerals (Calcium, Phosphorus and Magnesium), Key trace elements (copper, zinc, manganese and silicon), vitamins D and K, collagen and amino acids, to promote proper bone growth and development.
- Provides key minerals, vitamin D3, collagen K and amino acids for broodmares and young animals to support optimal skeletal development.
- Contains bioavailable mineral sources, including sustainable seaweed, collagen and high-quality protein, providing key amino acids.
- MSM to support the natural anti-inflammatory processes of horses, as well as to provide a bioavailable source of sulfur to support hoof growth.
- Provides targeted nutrition to broodmares and young herds, as well as young racehorses entering training and young performance horses competing in age classes, to support continued skeletal maturation and maintenance of bone density.
- Also suitable for horses on long-term box rest, where bone demineralization can occur due to a forced lack of weight-bearing activity.

What are the advantages of Better Bones Pellets?
Calcium is one of the most important minerals in bone, making up nearly 35% of equine bone, and plays a key role in muscle and nerve function. Calcium is supplied from a combination of organic and inorganic sources to ensure optimal bioavailability, including seaweed, calcium gluconate, dicalcium phosphate, and alfalfa.
Phosphorus makes up about 15% of bones and also plays a key role in energy and fat metabolism.
Magnesium – approximately 60% of the magnesium in a horse's body is found in the skeleton (and about 30% in the muscles). Magnesium is obtained from seaweed.
Vitamin D3 plays a key role in the proper metabolism of calcium
Vitamin K plays an important role in a number of physiological processes, including bone metabolism, energy production, and immune function.
MSM - supports the natural anti-inflammatory processes of horses, while providing a source of bioavailable sulfur to support hoof growth.
Collagen and Amino Acids – Collagen is a protein that, along with other key amino acids, provides a framework for calcium, phosphorus, and other minerals to add strength and harden the structure or skeleton. This combination of collagen and minerals makes bones strong and flexible enough to withstand the stresses of normal physical activity. Collagen also contributes to the health of soft tissues (tendons and ligaments).
Copper, zinc, manganese and silicon - are essential trace elements, supplied from a combination of organic and inorganic sources to help ensure optimal bioavailability, and they all play a key role in bone growth and development.
